What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
I have chosen that IPC media will be the best to publish my magazine. On their website they say that they are 'A Leading Magazine Publisher In The UK' as the publish magazines such as: Look, Now Chat and NME. The company is very successful and manages to sell over 350 million copies of their magazines each year, mainly women. It also publishes NME, the magazine which was the one people voted for in my questionnaire. I feel this would be the best one to personally do, as my magazine is mainly aimed at women, and they do aim other magazine- not necessarily music- at women, therefore, this seems like the sensible and safe choice to go with.
All the other magazines that IPC Media are publishing are around the same price range as I put my magazine to be, which is anther reason why my magazine would fit in with the other magazines. IPC Media also publishes NME magazine- which is a music magazine brought by millions and also the top music magazines published at the moment, therefore, it shows that IPC Media publishes high standard magazines, which could help attract my target audience to build up my own magazines status
This response needs expansion. The 'why' part of your response is a bit too brief, don't view your magazine in isolation, why would IPC be the best company to get your magazine to your target audience?
