Photo inspiration

I like this pose that Paloma Faith is doing as the hands towards her shows that she is vulnerable and unavailable. Her jewellery is unique as the braclet is fairly stand out and the blue and gold are contrasting colour along with the red lipstick. The red lipstick is something that I would quite like my female artist to wear as it will stand out. Her hair, which is up, looks fairly stylish, so for my artist, I would like to curl their hair and put it up, so its out the way of her face and will then focus on her make up and overall styling.

I like the clothing that Kelly Clarkson is wearing as it is black with an image in the middle. I like the mid shot idea because it focuses on the facial features and top half of the artist. It doesn't focus on the styling or the pose of the model. The make up is minimalistic, something which I would like, aside from the red lipstick. The hair of the artist is also simple, which is something that would be good to do as it would look simple and stylish. I think I am going to go with the white background as I don't need to focus on the mis-en-scene around the artist.

The picture as Lizzie because I like the scenery and the props in the background. I do not think I'll use any musical props as it takes the attention away from the main artist, however, I have considered the black and white themed photo because it would look bolder on the page. I also like the background too as it is relaxing and peaceful, to match the genre. The style of clothing is not the main feature in the photo as she is not wearing any shoes, however, I would focus a bit on style as one of the first things people notice about an artist is their style of clothing and physical appearance.
